L'INDUSTRIE AUTOMOBILE ARGENTINE EN PLEINE CRISE
The Argentine automotive sector is going through a difficult period, marked by a sharp decline in production and factory closures. Competition from imported parts, particularly from China, weakening domestic demand, and the economic reforms of President Javier Milei are weakening local manufacturers and suppliers. In the first nine months of 2026, vehicle production fell by 16.9% compared to the previous year. Exports, however, are providing some resistance, but are not enough to offset the difficulties in the domestic market and job losses in the sector.
