LONDON APOLOGIES TO UKRAINIAN REFUGEES
British Education Secretary Georgia Gould has apologized to Ukrainian refugee students who were pressured, or even forced, to take a Russian language exam because British schools did not offer equivalent qualifications in Ukrainian. To address this situation, the UK will provide £340,000 in funding for the creation of a Ukrainian language exam, scheduled for 2028. This measure aims to help young refugees preserve their language, culture, and national identity.
