The EU rejects a deal between Trump and Moscow.
The European Union opposes Donald Trump's plan to negotiate a new security agreement with Russia covering the entire European continent. The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, reiterated that no decision concerning European security can be made without the participation of the countries involved. Poland and Ukraine also support this position, refusing to allow Washington and Moscow to decide their future unilaterally. This opposition comes as the United States prepares for new negotiations with Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi in an attempt to end the war.
